Besides being a techie that all that looks in a device is a couple of things that complete the whole “office mobile” options, which I will list in the next list and why in my very personal opinion a Windows Mobile devices runs over the so called iPhone:
First of all, let’s recognize that the Windows Mobile interface byitself sucks, yep that’s it I can’t stand using the stylus just for the f** keyboard. Instead the very best solution I can recommend is to use the Resco Keyboard it looks like the iPhone (although they could be better) a screenshot of that is here:
Now, the same size you see there, is the same size of my current phone, so it’s easy to write messages with your fingers, although the keyboard gets half of the size of the screen, it just appears when needed, so you don’t get frustrated seeing there all the time.(who said stylus).
Second thing I believe it’s more important than the iPhone, the way how you can sort your home screen, for example, mine has several plugins, one that controls my contacts in a slideshow, what’s more the big clock has several options that returns weather, you have plenty of shortcuts and several more things take a look.
Big icons and all of them can be accessed very easy, with any of your fingers, all in the home screen, and this is something I love from WM6.1 (well and all the known flavours) you can reprogram whatever you want, you have access to the whole system, 3rd party applications, many of them free of charge or with a low fee (but there are some with high prices as well). One of the things I hate from WM6.1 it’s its poor application to connect to the various networks installed on your system, but thanks to a very good application you can control every connection of any service such as sms,mms,internet,3G,bluetooth,wifi,gps and I think all you can imagine, this is how the 3rd party application that manages my connections.
So, it’s easy to control of that, what’s more I have installed an application that measures the amount of bytes coming in and getting out :D, I know the iPhone doesn’t have things like those.
…. and yes as you can see in the images I am able to go to several applications in the same time, keeping other windows opened without causing crashes or similar behaviour. But keep in mind the memory consumed by all of them or you will end with a reboot (it’s like trying to drink water from an empty glass).
And nope, we are sure Mocosoft doesn’t install agents that tell our phones to erase certain application if that application is doing bad things.
Yes, we do have a anti-steal solution with gps if you want
Games, we do have games!
Java, we do have Java!
Flash, we do have Flash!
Applications, calculators…. yes we do have them all! (without using AITIUNES)
